Shining Star Pageants is an up and coming premier pageant system in the Tri- State area- NJ, DE, and PA The pageant is designed to help cultivate and inspire hope in the community by instilling leadership, respect, and confidence in our youth. The pageant is unique in that it consists of both males and females ranging in ages from 4mos-17years. Our main objective is to teach young women and men the importance of education, character, and becoming a leader in the community.
The community aspect of Shining Star Pageants is the heart of this organization because we believe that nothing can be achieved with out people working together to help one another. Studies show that when youth are more involved with their community they are less likely to become offenders if it, and respect is gained for one another and self. This is why some pageant competitions require 2-6 hours of community service.
This pageant is not about who is more glamorous; in fact we encourage our contestants to wear very little make up, and they are not required to go out and buy expensive dresses and costumes. We want to make inner beauty stand out and show our youth the importance of loving themselves and respecting others no matter who they are or what they look like.
Every child has a unique talent and special abilities and when they have the opportunity to use their talents for the better of society they develop into individuals with hopes and dreams.
Participating in pageants is also a good way to break through in the entertainment industry. Exposure is the key to getting recognized by talent scouts. Also pageants can serve as a training ground for developing and fine tuning your skills and talents.
